Republish Our Work
Guidelines for bringing Weave News stories to your audience
As a grassroots media organization, we see the sharing/republication of content as an excellent way to provide mutual support among independent media practitioners while also increasing the reach of our work. Unless otherwise indicated, you may republish individual pieces of our original content under the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, subject to the following guidelines:
You must comply with the terms of the CC license. Note that this is a “no derivatives” license, which means that remixing/modifying the original content is not permitted.
When republishing our content, please give byline credit to the original author and include the following attribution with a link back to our website: “This article was published by Weave News on [date].”
Please retain all original links in the content you republish.
Do not include any accompanying images from the original article unless you have secured permission from the owner of those images.
Canonical metadata. If your publishing platform allows it, please set a canonical link to the original Weave News article so that search engines recognize our site as the primary source.
This policy applies to the occasional republication of individual pieces of our content. If you would like to republish our work on a more regular basis, please contact us at editorial@weavenews.org.
AI training and automated use: Our content may not be copied, scraped, or otherwise used to develop or train machine learning or artificial intelligence systems without prior written permission.
If you republish one of our articles, please let us know by sending a brief email to editorial@weavenews.org. This will also make it easier for us to contact you if we have questions about your use of our content.
Please do not sell or syndicate our material.
We also encourage you to tag us on social media (Bluesky, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) when promoting any republished Weave News content.
