I am a recent graduate of St. Lawrence University and majored in Global Studies with a minor in French. My concentrations within Global Studies were Latin America and Caribbean studies and U.S. Cultural and Ethnic studies. I am very interested in U.S. and Latin America relations. I have spent a semester in France and a semester and part of the summer in Washington, DC where I interned at the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA) and later Human Rights Watch and a smaller organization called EG Justice. At WOLA, I was first exposed to the issues of displaced people in Colombia. Since starting this blog, I have completed an independent research paper on the topic of the proposed U.S.-Colombia free trade agreement.
